Position Summary:

The Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences at Villanova University invites applications for a tenure track position at the rank of Assistant Professor in developmental psychology, with an emphasis on some aspect of cognitive development preferred. The position begins in late August 2018.

Candidates should have a strong publication record, the ability to generate a high-quality research program, and a commitment to teaching in both undergraduate and graduate (MS) programs. Responsibilities include direction of master’s theses in our rigorous, research-oriented program, and teaching developmental psychology, general psychology or other courses depending on one’s interests and the fit with departmental needs. Duties and Responsibilities:

Establish a high-quality research program that has the potential to attract external funding and leads to publication in respected outlets.

Teach courses in both the graduate program and the undergraduate programs in psychology. Courses may include Human Development, General Psychology, or other courses depending on one’s interests and departmental needs.

Become an active member of the Department, College, and University.

Minimum Qualifications:

PhD is required as well as outstanding research potential and excellence in teaching.
