Position Summary:

The Department of History at Villanova University invites applications for an entry-level, tenure track position, in African American History to begin August 2018.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Teaching load 3-2. After a successful Third Year Review, a one-semester sabbatical is available in the fourth year and the 3-2 teaching load is continued for another three years.

Candidates should be able to teach a two semester undergraduate and graduate survey in African American History. The successful applicant will also teach a thematically-based core History course of his/her creation and will be able to offer courses at the undergraduate and graduate level in her/his areas of specialization.

PhD. required at time position commences.
