Position Summary:

The College of Professional Studies is seeking applications for adjunct teaching positions from qualified candidates in the following non-credit, certificate based programs:

  • IS Security
  • Agile
  • Business Analysis
  • Software Testing
  • Business Process Management
  • Business Intelligence
  • ITIL

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Preparation of weekly class schedule – syllabus – additional referenced materials – and teaching tools for classroom and online delivery.
  • Teach required material(s) to students using technology tools provided by the University.
  • Provide an environment of learning that is welcoming, interactive and focused.
  • Provide administrative tasks, including but not limited to, distribution of materials, attendance monitoring, reporting of activities to a CPS administrator and submission of final grades.
  • Attend faculty meetings as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree required for all adjunct faculty.
  • 3-5 years Professional experience in topics.
  • Prior teaching experience required.
  • Proven ability to teach successfully both in the classroom and/or online.
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems.
  • Strong understanding of adult learning principles.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master’s Degree preferred for all adjunct faculty.
  • Industry certification where appropriate.
Physical Requirements and/or Unusual Work Hours:
  • Standing for period up up to 3 hours at a time.
  • Courses are taught primarily nights between 6 p.m. and 9:30 p.m Monday through Friday and also on Saturdays (depends on program).
