Position Summary Information

Job Description Summary:

The Student Media Assistant will be responsible for the marketing and branding of programs and initiatives brought forth by the office of Student Involvement as well as the management of the Social Media accounts and web pages of the office. In addition, this person will be responsible for the making of promotional videos for all of Student Life.

Requirements:
  • Proficient experience in video editing, photography, and videography.
  • Familiar with using Apple I-Mac and video editing software (Adobe Premiere).
  • Basic knowledge of HTML coding.
  • Advanced experience in Adobe Photoshop and other photo editing software.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Publisher.
  • Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multi-task on multiple projects.
Additional Information:

The Student Media Assistant will report to the Assistant Director for Media Programs in the Office of Student Involvement and is expected to:

  • Work a minimum of 8 hours a week
  • Have weekly one-on-ones with the Assistant Director for Media Programs
  • Attend major Student Involvement events for filming and photography
  • Maintain the Student Involvement webpage and social media accounts
  • Assist the AD for Media Programs with special projects
  • Create and design promotional materials for Student Involvement
  • Learn how to create e-mails using e-mail client “Campaign Monitor”
  • Other duties as assigned

Wage Rate: $11.40/hour
