Position Summary:

The Department of Mechanical Engineering at Villanova University has an opening for a tenure-track faculty position in the area of fundamental computational fluid dynamics (CFD) theory, with a focus on incorporating new physics-based models. Areas of interest for CFD applications include electronics thermal management, biotransport, interfacial phenomena, and phase change processes.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The primary responsibilities include developing a vibrant funded research program, collaborating with faculty in our core strength area of thermal-fluids sciences, teaching and developing undergraduate and graduate courses in thermal-fluids, and contributing to the modernization of the thermal-fluids curriculum. Required are a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field, a proven ability for high level research, and a demonstrated commitment to teaching excellence and innovation. The position starts Aug. 22, 2018.

Minimum Qualifications:

An earned doctorate in Mechanical Engineering.

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous teaching experience preferred.
